March 2016

March was a pretty fun month and we kept it full of fun and family!

We've been waiting for some warmer weather and at the first signs of it, Wilson and I headed for a park! Wilson did great, he could do the slide by himself and even climbed to the top of the big slide, but wasn't ready to brave it! He loved to bounce back and forth between the park and the little pond to look at the ducks. Now we're hoping this great weather will stick around for a bit!

Still moving along with cooking this little girl.  It's gone by so fast I've really been able to enjoy it!

Wilson decided to wake up early but I was still tired, poor Brad was already gone for work so I plopped Wilson in his spot and we got a few more hours of sleep! I love my little snuggler and can't believe how big he is constantly getting!

Just like his mom and dad, Wilson LOVES a donut!

Shannon was the best and threw a baby shower for me and the baby! It was so fun to see some family and friends! It was a perfect low key shower with fun games, fun people, and adorable gifts! Shannon thanks for making this pregnancy special and celebrating this addition to our family!

After the shower Brad took Linda, Rylie, and Tyson to an afternoon UVU basketball game! The kids had a blast, got to meet a player and Willy!

Sunday's are such long days for Wilson, we have church in the afternoon so he doesn't get great naps or any at all.  This first picture is in the morning when we would normally start to lay him down and the second picture is about 45 mins before bed time, he almost made it!

Brad was invited to go and do his media thing at the WAC Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas so Wilson and I had to find things to distract ourselves! Sadly he wasn't feeling great so we did small outings! We went to the book store and bought Wilson some new books and played with the Thomas books too!

We took long baths with plenty of time to play!

The night Brad was suppose to get home we met up for ice cream with Brad's Uncle Steve and Aunt Lisa, since they were in town for a dance competition for their kids! The whole family came down and Brett met up with us since he's in Provo! It was great to see everyone and visit with family. Brad was pretty bummed about missing everyone but he got home safe about an hour later!

Brad had a blast on his trip and got to see a ton of basketball and visit a ton of Vegas! The other writer that Brad went with is from Las Vegas so he was Brad's tour guide and they went and visited all the major casinos!

They made it on time to watch the water show outside of the Bellagio and it looked amazing! Can't wait to see it in person!

They watched this awesome chocolate fountain for a bit and then Brad brought me home some of that chocolate!! Brad said some of the hotels are so big inside they got lost a few times!
He had a blast and is now excited for us to go back together sometime!

All in all the tournament was fun, the Women's team did pretty good and got pretty close to the end and the men didn't do so hot but hopefully we'll see some redemption in the next season!

Once Brad was home it was time for his spring break! We did a few low key days and caught up on some much needed sleep and other days we played!
We went and got a free soft served cone on Free Cone day at DQ.

Another day I really wanted to take Wilson and Brad to the Museum of Nature and Curiosity! It's a perfect place for a toddler, everything is his size and he can do most of the stuff there!
Shannon was nice enough to join us (and let us use her discount) so Wilson really loved playing with his little cousins too!

He's wearing his hat again! For a long time he would just rip it off his head but he's starting to want to wear it, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that Daddy is always wearing a hat!

It was Shannon's birthday and we went to help celebrate and visit cousins! It's honestly such a blessing having her live where she does and we love being able to be actively involved in each others lives!

We made sure Wilson had his green on to celebrate St. Patricks Day! I have to say he may be the cutest boy we know!

Warmer weather means baseball season is here! Brad is excited to be covering baseball and to get to know the players!

We went and got giant slurpees that Wilson liked to sip on but wasn't really a huge fan.  He also seems very attached to Brad lately.  Brad's in the throws of the semester and starting to cover baseball means he's not home as often so they fit in cuddles whenever they can!

Wilson and I met up with an old friend and her kids from Rexburg at the Dinosaur Museum! It was so much fun to catch up and see each other! I didn't realize how much I had missed her! Wilson loved the museum, especially the water part!

Look who was there too! Haha I wasn't surprised when we ran into Shannon, Talia, and Beckett since this is one of the go to places to visit on Beckett's list!  Wilson was happy to see his cousins and it was a fun surprise visit!

With Easter being at the end of March this year it seemed to pop up quick! Before we met up with the Bowles at Chick fil a for Davin's 8th birthday we stopped inside the Cal Ranch to look at all the baby chicks and bunnies! Wilson was so sweet with the chicks and decided he wanted a toy tractor and since I can't say no he got to pick it out!

The Saturday before Easter we were out running errands and I had been feeling bad Wilson didn't get a picture with an Easter Bunny this year.  I needed a drink so we stopped by Sodalicious and there was an egg hunt going on and an Easter Bunny!!! We parked and went to check it out, turned out we were right on time for the last egg hunt! Wilson and about 10 other kids had tons of eggs to hunt, Wilson ended up with 15 eggs and a picture with the Easter Bunny!  I was so happy it worked out and that we had stumbled across the cutest Egg Hunt Ever!

It wouldn't be easter without some egg dying! Wilson did pretty good and was really excited to do it!

Brad coloring his eggs! The blue splatter was because Wilson threw an egg and made it into the blue cup! At least he has good aim it probably could have been worse!

The finished product!

Getting ready for Easter dinner at the Bowles! Shannon requested these and they were so fun to make and turned out adorable!

Wilsons Easter Basket! The Easter Bunny went a little crazy but can you blame him?!

 Pictures with mom and dad!

Wilson in his adorable Easter shirt and new bowtie from Grandma B!

Brad had to do a player interview and so Wilson and I tagged along and wandered the campus! We found some cool cars, lots of stairs, and a firetruck! He was in love and really didn't want to get out!

I'm obsessed with this picture! Wilson loves to go wherever Brad goes, even when it's just to get the mail!

Now at the end of the month! We have progress, baby girl is getting so big which means so am I! 5 more weeks and we're hoping it will fly by!

February 2016

February always seems like such a daunting month, we have so much going on in such a short time! We celebrated our 8th Anniversary, Valentine's Day, Brad's 30th Birthday, and my 28th Birthday, like I said it's always a busy month!

We all recently discovered SnapChat and oh how addicting it is! It's a great distraction for Wilson and keeps us all cracking up with the different things you can do with it!

I love this picture, I was gone and Brad was home with Wilson.  Brad left the room for a few minutes and came back but couldn't find Wilson, we live in a shoe box and he checked all the rooms.  When he came back into the living room he realized Wilson had passed out in his chair!

For our anniversary dinner Brad really wanted to FINALLY try crab! I made him king crab legs and he loved them!  He wasn't a fan of having to do all the work to get into the legs but said it was worth it for how yummy they were!

Sometime this month I had to snap a picture to follow the progress of our sweet baby girl! This pregnancy is moving right along and she is growing fast!

BRAD IS 30!!!!! We did a small celebration with the Bowles, but Shannon made it festive and had the house decorated with everything "30"! I still can't believe Brad and I are headed to our thirties but what they will bring will be amazing!

Since it was daddy's birthday we made him some cookies, and I may have just been in the mood to bake! Wilson is just like Brad and loves himself some cookie dough, it was a fight to get the spatula back!

Brad and don't really celebrate Valentine's Day since it's Brad's birthday that day but we decided Wilson should celebrate! We got him a few random gifts and let him pull them out from the fancy grocery sack! haha

However they came he thought it was great, he got some coloring books, a glow stick, a ball, stickers, and some other small things!

I don't normally like to take Wilson to sporting events by myself but we needed an outing and we wanted to go see dad in action! We luckily got to sit right behind him and Wilson had a blast yelling at the referees and players! He watched pretty much the whole game and even got to go sit by dad for a bit while mom made one of her frequent bathroom stops!

Linda's company does the medical billing for the Utah Grizzlies and used their perks to get a box for all of the family to watch the game in!
It was such a blast, it was my and Wilson's first hockey game!

We had so much fun hanging with all of Brad's family and even Nichols cousins were there! We got to see Jackson for the first time while we were there and Wilson loved playing with all of his cousins!

While running errand I decided Wilson and I needed to break up our day, so we went and had breakfast at Corner Bakery.  I'm starting to realize it won't just be me and him anymore and I'm really going to miss this one on one time.

For Brad's birthday Travis took him to a concert where a few of their favorite bands were playing!
(Hawthorn Heights, Mest, The Ataris)
It was a smaller venue and Brad loved it!

We were lucky enough again to go to the last free Zoo day at the Hogle Zoo this year! It didn't fall right on my birthday but close, the day before! lol
We met up with Shannon, Talia, and Beckett, and bonus Brad was able to come this year!
Wilson loved it (even though it was freezing!) We saw the elephants, rode the carousel, saw all the birds, reptiles, seals, and monkeys!

Wilson loved the big reptiles, which he will never get as a pet so enjoy them at the zoo!

We went and saw the polar bear who was super active and the kids loved following him around!
We watched this monkey for a good 10 mins, he came over and started making a little bed right in front of Wilson! It was the sweetest thing and Wilson couldn't take his eyes off of him!

On our way out we went and saw the giraffes, there is a new baby one who was absolutely adorable!
It was such a fun day and it was fun to go with Auntie and cousins!

After celebrating everything and everyone we finally got to relax by the end of the month.
We played a lot with SnapChat!

We also went and got Wilsons hair cut, it's not his favorite but he's slowly getting better and better!

We made the end of celebrating official by daddy sucking all the helium from the balloons!
Brad took about 4 nights to get them all done but Wilson loved when daddy's voice went silly high!
