December 2014

As I sat and looked through all the pictures from December, there was a ton of us just hanging out at home and taking pictures of Wilson because we are overly obsessed with him! It was a fun month those we got to go see the lights at Temple Square again, celebrate Talia's 4th Birthday, and of course celebrate Christmas and New Years!

This is one of my favorite outfits for the winter, a warm full body onsie! He looked so dang cute in it! If I could, I would have put him in it everyday!

I considered myself very lucky and had never been peed on since Wilson was born, then the mother load of a full bladder was released on me! It was all over my sweats and my t-shirt! It was probably one of the funniest and pretty gross things to happen thus far with Wilson!

When I was holding Wilson one day while he was sleeping, which I do a ton! I couldn't help but take pictures of all his little parts. He won't always be this little and he won't always fit in my arms just right, and I'm so glad I took these pictures to remember his all his sweet pieces.

We tend to take a lot of selfies...

Totally oblivious to the fact that there is a party going on around him! haha He was so pooped he napped through part of Talia's Mega Big Birthday Party!

Shannon gave us a bunch of toys and one of those toys was a small baseball bat, I don't know who was more excited, Brad or Wilson.  Either way it's adorable and Wilson loves to hold it.

We went and saw the cutest Santa with the Greens! He was so gentle and soft spoken with Wilson! Needless to say I'm in LOVE with this picture!

We were lucky enough to go to the Lights at Temple Square a second time and meet up with the Dentons and Brad's Aunt and Uncle and cousins! Samantha was getting ready to leave on a mission and it was so fun to get to see her and wish her the best of luck!

A few random pictures of Wilson! He turned 5 months in December! He was also given the cutest slouchy beanie from our friends Megan and Christian!

We celebrated Christmas Eve with the Bowles and Wilson was such a happy boy! We even got a surprise visit from Santa while we were there and Wilson cozied up to him no problem!

Mom bought Dean and Wilson matching "My First Christmas" outfits and Brad did this cute set up to take pictures! It was hard to pick just one because they all turned out so cute!

Wilson graduated to a "big boy" bath in the sink and was still a little too unsteady! But he liked splashing in the water and being able to sit it the warm water.  We also decided to try rice cereal! It was so fun to see how he reacted to it, but within a few days decided he liked it!

Per usual Brad and I had a Rocking' New Years Eve full of food, movies, and trying our hardest to stay up till midnight! We made it to midnight and celebrated with a kiss and then dragged ourselves to bed, to probably regret it in the morning!

2014 was a year full of tons of first for Brad and I. We are so grateful to have Wilson and are cherishing every moment and memory with him! We are excited to see what 2015 brings us and are ready for the fun new things it will bring us!

November 2014

November was another fun month, but if I think every month with Wilson is fun! Wilson turned 4 months and was as smiley as ever! I'm loving going back and looking at all these pictures (since it's Jan 2016) and remembering how easy it was to make him smile! He was always so happy and rarely cried!

We were so lucky to have Mom come for a visit and get to hang with us! Wilson really needed some Grandma B time! I love how he would just chill with her.  And it wasn't until one of her last days that she actually heard him cry! She thought that was so funny!

Grandma B is also the only one brave enough/that I trusted cutting Wilsons hair at 4 months! It was so crazy long he really needed one right after he was born.  But we cut and saved his rats tail and continue to this day to battle that thing! He was completely unsure of what we were doing to him but was a trooper though the whole thing!

Just getting the last of it! He also lost almost ALL the hair on the left side of his head so we called it his hipster haircut!

Realizing he really didn't fit in the sink anymore! haha Unfortunately we didn't have a tub so he graduated from the baby seat bath to the actual sink. Needless to say we are happy that we now live in a place with a tub!

Wilson really discovered his toes, he would soak through socks or just pull them off to get to his toes.  I have to say this was one of my favorite staged! A: because he would just curl and bend right up, and B: it was such an stereotypical stage that I was so excited to see and experience.

One of my favorite things about Salt Lake City is the Christmas Lights at Temple Square! It was even better to go as a family AND with the Greens!!

It was freezing and I had never dressed a baby for weather! Next time hat and gloves for sure!! He did ok but I've since learned and poor Wilson looks like the little brother from A Christmas Story!
P.S. this full body suit was from the Greens and saved us that winter! It was the greatest thing.

All of us together! We had so much fun and love hanging with the Greens!

Dads being dads.  I say it all the time but I feel so lucky that my best friend and husband are so close! And even crazier to think that we both have families!

Somewhere between this month we had a great thanksgiving with the Curnow's and got to enjoy seeing everyone and playing with them all! We always look forward to Thanksgiving with family and per usual it didn't disappoint!

October 2014

OK!! So I had made a goal to get caught up and I've been terrible at it but I haven't really made an effort.  I can't believe I'm over a year behind! haha But luckily pictures really help me remember!

Brad and I decided to leave Wilson for the first time when he was almost 3 months for a much needed date! We went to a BYU game and had so much fun! It was the BYU v Utah State game and we lost.  It was the game that Taysom Hill got hurt. Brad and I had a lot of fun and really appreciated Nan watching our sweet Wilson.

We got to see the National Championship Trophy from a distance... a long distance! But Brad was pretty excited!

Wilson turned 3 months and I can't believe how many changes he went through.  His personality started to come through!

Wilson loved to read books and watch football, he would lay on his Seahawks Pillow Pet and we would read all his books together.  It was one of the ways I could get him to stop crying.

The only way we could get Wilson to do tummy time was to turn on a show! haha It was the cutest thing.  He would either watch something on the iPad or on one of our phones.  He eventually would play with toys as he got better!

One of the few things we did this month was join celebrate Tyson's birthday! We went up to Lewiston and embraced the crazy that is a bunch of 7 year old boys!  It was so much fun being there and being a part of the party. It was also Ninja Turtle theme to which we came prepared for since that was what we were all being for Halloween!

It was so fun to be dressed up together!!

Wilson took the cake though! He was the cutest little Ninja Turtle and my helper while we passed out candy! It was a fun Halloween and we loved dressing him up!

September 2014

After having such a busy August we decided to slow it down a little for September! As I look through most of the pictures from this month I'm either in cozy clothes and sitting in the recliner with Wilson, in cozy clothes and sitting on the couch snuggling Wilson, or it's Brad in cozy clothes snuggling and loving Wilson.  I really wouldn't have it any other way.  We got to bond with, stare at, cuddle with, play with, and again stare at Wilson all we wanted.  But we still tried to have a little bit of fun!

We went up to Lewiston for a visit and to see/play with the new 4-wheelers!  I stayed at the house and hung with Lindsay and Wilson while the boys and kids went for a fun ride!

Rylie and Brad were 4-wheeling buddies! They went up and had lunch at a pretty spot with a some pools of water and the changing leaves!

It was definitely exhausting for all but Brad loved how out cold Tyson was and Tyson was not amused by Brad taking pictures of him!

Wilson turned a whole 2 months and is now smiling a ton and starting to babble.  It sounds like he says. "Hi!" in his sweet little voice!

We constantly watch these 2 boys develop and love to see what they do the same and what they do differently.  Brad and I love that Wilson has such a close cousin in age. Dean and Wilson just stare at each other when Jules and I FaceTime! Still trying to figure each other out!

We also had the opportunity to bless Wilson this month and were lucky enough to have my dad come up for it!  Many people look at Wilson and think he looks a lot like my Dad so it was fun to have them together.

I'm a very traditional and sentimental type of person so Wilson was wearing the same outfit that Brad was blessed in and was snuggled in a blanket that my Grandma Snowball made for all her grandkids to bless their babies in.  He looked so unbelievably sweet and tender.

We had lots of family come and support us as we blessed Wilson for his future life, which meant a great deal to us.  Wilson is very loved by his family and friends, and were grateful for those that show their love to us as a family.

The blessing day was busy but completely wonderful.  Brad gave a very sweet blessing for Wilson that I hope will help him throughout his life.  I want to thank everyone that came to support us and help make it the beautiful day that it was!

August 2014

The month of August was surprisingly a full month! We got to see lots of family and lots of people got to meet Wilson for the first time!

We took a few newborn pictures of Wilson and this is one of our favorites, we put this one everywhere.  I'm shocked Brad was able to get it because he kept falling over! But he did and it's so adorable.  He's so sweet and has all that hair!

We did an immediate Olson Family Reunion up in Tahoe, we had a big house in Truckee, CA.
Jules and I gave mom and dad a hard time because the original date was Jules' due date with Dean and then the second trip date was my due date! They finally got to settle on a date and the babies were still VERY new! Dean was 5 weeks and Wilson was only 3 weeks old!
Grandma B with her 2 new grand babies!

On lake day the boys were in cute little bathing suits. Wilson was NOT a fan of the water but he loved sleeping in anyone's arms that would take him! The family rented canoes and paddle boards to play with for the day.  This part of the lake was great for all because it was shallow for about 150 yards, it was barely waist deep!

Brad thought the boys needed matching Ninja Turtle outfit..... which they totally did!  They looked so cute together.  Jules and I had fun waking up in the middle of the night and feeding our babies together! Haha It was a great trip and full of hanging out, game nights, movie nights, and a fun family talent show!  We love to spend time together and appreciate our parents for making it happen!

Wilson sleeping in his bassinet was probably the cutest thing! He always slept on his side and loved having that pillow around his head!

Our big boy turned 1 month! He started smiling and wiggling a lot more!

Doing these post so late is kind of fun because I forgot how tiny he really was.  He loved to lay on his Seahawk Pillow and blanket!  He loved to stare at mom and dad and do what he did best... lay there and smile!

My mom got me this great night gown that was perfect during the hot summer to hang out in and nurse a baby! This was how most of our days were, we hung out in cozy clothes and cuddled and wouldn't have wanted it any other way!

One of our outings was going to the Aquarium and of course we didn't get a family picture but this was how wilson was the whole time.... Asleep! I think he really liked it! ;)

He really was just a sweet quiet newborn! The first month was so exhausting but so much fun! I loved holding him, watching him, nursing him, and loving him!
August was busier then we were expecting with a brand new baby but was so much fun and so worth it! We were so happy to see family and let everyone get to know our sweet Wilson!
