July 2015 Part 1

I didn't realize how much we had going on in July and there was no way I could fit it all into one post, so here is Part 1 of our crazy busy July!

First off, this boy is so dang cute! Just look at those flowing locks! I had no idea how long his hair had become.

4th of July was our first fun event! We mixed it up this year and stayed home for the 4th! Shannon was nice and let us and the Greens tag along on their tradition! We went to a fun Splash Pad in Alpine.  It was a bit overcast that morning but we didn't care and we embraced the cold and played in the water!  Wilson did really well in the water and was mostly happy to sit and play in the puddles!

After the splash pad we went back to Shannon's house to have lunch and relax a bit before we went to fireworks.  I love when we all wear a 4th of July shirt!

We got to fireworks nice and early with snacks, lawn games, bubbles, and glow sticks!  Wilson played with his cousins and friends and LOVED playing in the bubbles.

It's finally getting dark after playing and waiting!

Buddies!
Wilson did so great watching the fireworks, about half way through he fell asleep and never cried at the noise! He won best baby!

Next up was the big Olson Family Reunion at Clear Creek Family Ranch which is on the backside of Zion National Park!  We were so excited to see family and let Wilson be with his twin cousin Dean!

On the first day we got there we did a little birthday party for Wilson, Dean, and Rachel! We got fun toys for Wilson and he got his Grandma B quilt! It is perfect for him and I'm in love with it!

Brad wanted to do an experiment that he heard about where you put a pencil, ball, and dollar in front of a baby and let them crawl to one of them.  Whichever they pick predicts their future. Ball=athletics Pencil=education Dollar=successful
Wilson of course picked the ball but it was probably because it was one of his new toys!

And what birthday party would be complete without some cupcakes! Dean was way more into it than Wilson was!

Next day while Brad stayed at the house with Wilson, I headed off to go into Zion with Jules, Rick, and Ian! We met up with some other cousins before we realized we missed the bus to go on the hike! So we wandered around the shops and enjoyed "downtown" Zion!

Traditional picture with the Ram!!

Aunt LeeDean and Darrell pulled out this giant slip n' slide one afternoon and it was such a blast! It was fun for the adults and the little ones!
We had fun racing each other, making up moves, and seeing who could beat Brad because he was the fastest!

While we were all going down the slip n' slide, grandparents, aunts, and uncles all watched over these cute boys!  Grandpa Bob won extra points by having both the binkie boys!

There was a beautiful little lake on the property, Jules and I took the boys down to watch the cousins canoe and move around on the paddle boats.

We couldn't get enough of Dean and Wilson together, even if they ignored each other we were just too obsessed with all the cuteness happening!

One night we did a bunch of team games, this is Brad trying to build a tower with ALL the blocks! He totally did it!

One of the last nights we did sparklers and s'mores! We do these Family Reunions every 3 years and I look forward to them every time! We are a close family and love to be together.  It was such a great place and packed full of fun and tons of memories! Can't wait for our next one!
